Sixteen weeks to reach 2.4mg
Each of the first four doses lasts four weeks on the standard schedule. A prescriber can hold you on a dose for longer if side effects build.
The 7.2mg dose
7.2mg sits above the standard maintenance dose. Until a single 7.2mg pen is approved, each weekly dose means three 2.4mg injections. Your prescriber decides whether the higher dose suits you.
After a missed dose
Wegovy allows five days. Inside five days, inject when you remember. After five days, skip and return to your normal day.
